Default POCONO 2007 Information!

Information about Pocono 2007 can be found in the attached flyer. As more information becomes available it will be posted here!
Quote:
Happy Holidays,

Tri-Region Race Group, the SCCA organization that put on the PDX you attended at Pocono last year, is pleased to announce that in 2007 we will be holding a PDX on June 15 and 16, the Friday and Saturday of Father's Day weekend. Again we will be using the 2.5 miles long course which we use for our club racing events.

If you are still looking for a present to give someone or weighing what to ask for from the Jolly Old Man or your Sugarplum Fairy, I've attached the flyer for the PDX, the entry form, and the "draft" Supplemental Regulations which will be finalized after the SCCA National Convention (Feb 1-3) when the ruling on inclusion of convertibles will be made. Generally, everything will be the same as last year, but we may be able to include convertibles with factory roll bars.

Note that the entry fee at this time is the same as last year, but will be increased $25.00 on February 1. So, look over the materials, ask questions, and make your reservations early. If you want this to be given as a gift, I will send you via email a "gift certificate" that you can give a friend.

Please share this information with your friends via email and post the flyer on bulletin boards at work.

Have a joyous, happy, and healthy holiday.

Judy Bloeser, Registrar
Tri-Region PDX

We have just received the word today, that we will not be able to have stock convertibles run at the PDX. Roll bars that meet the spec or hardtops are still being required.

Great, we need to start gearing up for that. Will, we might have to email our members to alert them of this new event posting for 2007.

And, have this announced in the other forums.

Vinny told me he knows a fabricator that can put a roll bar in the ZR.

I so want to put the ZR on the track.

JD is going to get back to me but he has said that they are researching the issue of soft top cars on the track.

I wonder if you could have a bolt on roll bar that you could take off after the track day if they still require a roll bar for softtops hmmmm.

I am going to look into a chromed roll bar and if it doesn't cost me the 'other arm and leg' I still have remaining, I would look for it to be permanent.

I don't think the SCCA would deem the ZR as having a factory roll bar, but if it gets me onto the track, I am game.

Still looking to have a bar fabricated into the ZR.

Yes, it has the two "breast like humps" behind each seat. The only challenge is that with a helmet on my head sticks above the top of the seat.

haha details details. If you are about to roll over assume the crash position! Make sure when you show up you are wearing a storm trooper helmet
